The staff at Hancock Pharmacy Long Wharf promptly fills each prescription with friendly, customer oriented service. Our Pharmacists work closely with doctors, nurses, APRN's & PA's to make certain that our customers receive the best possible drug therapy care. With every new prescription our Pharmacists offer a one-on-one consultation that allows them to detail side effects, interactions, and any questions and concerns the customer may have.

Prescriptions are processed through our 800 telephone and fax numbers, and through E-script. Transferring your prescription to Hancock Pharmacy has never been easier, too! Bring in your refill bottle, or call us with the prescription information and our pharmacists will take care of the rest. At Hancock Pharmacy Long Wharf you are always in good hands.

Staff Bios

Gregory Hancock
Greg Hancock has been a part of Hancock Pharmacy for over 25 years, working in many capacities with his father Stanley J. Hancock Jr. who began the pharmacy in 1959. Greg graduated from the University of Rhode Island in 1984 with a B.S. degree in Pharmacy, He immediately began putting his vision of creating a progressive pharmacy that maintained family values. Since then, Greg has made major renovations to Hancock Phamacy's physical plant and numerous technological advances in order for Hancock’s to maintain its ability to serve its customers and compete in an ever changing business world.  Greg personally oversees every aspect of Hancock Pharmacy and is readily available day or night to assist its customers near or far. Greg and his team will continue to expand both its retail and long term care services throughout Connecticut to provide pharmaceutical services above and beyond what any other pharmacy can provide. Greg looks forward to assisting you with any questions or concerns you may have with the services or products  we provide.

 

Jacqui Murphy, R.Ph.

Jacqui has been helping patients in the New Haven area fill their prescriptions for over 25 years. She has a background in both community and long-term care settings. She has given talks to many groups, both healthcare professionals and consumers. She has extensive training in diabetes management, nutrition, and medication therapy management. Stop in to see her with any medication questions.

Andy Zhang

Andy graduated with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree (Pharm. D) from the University of Connecticut School of Pharmacy in 2009. He received a Bachelors degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology prior to entering the School of Pharmacy. Andy worked as a pharmacy technician and intern in a retail setting for 6 years before he obtained his pharmacist license. He is currently working as evening pharmacist at Griffin Hospital in Derby, CT.

Shellie Catala
Pharmacy & Long Term Care Director for Hancock Pharmacy. Shellie works closely with Greg Hancock to ensure day to day operations run smoothly with all our facilities. Whether a new patient is admitted to one our facilities and needs medications delivered for the first time or a Long Term Care patient has had changes to their medication and care plan from their doctor, Shellie is the person that handles the coordination of benefits, medication changes, kardexes and physicians orders. Shellie comes from a long standing pharmacy background and is a very valuable employee to Hancock Pharmacy.
